Do you feel that there are any foil characters in Hamlet? (You may have to remind yourself what a foil character is...) If you feel that there are, use the comment board to identify some and explain what effect the foil relationship has on the play, whether its plot of character development.

This might be a bit off....but after today's reading I kind of see Polonius and the King as being somewhat foil characters. Polonius, in my opinion, seems to be kind of....not necessarily naive....but not exactly logical. When the King and Polonius were spying on Hamlet, their responses were so different. The King took a logical approach, whereas Polonius still proclaimed that Hamlet was mad for Ophelia. I guess I just see their reactions to situations as being very opposite, which makes them both shine in their personality types.
